Jen Corace will be joining us on Thursday, September 11, 2014 for an opening night reception for her new solo show Without.
Jen is from southern new jersey, graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in illustration in 1996, and lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island.
She is a freelance illustrator, who’s worked on numerous children’s books. Her work captures the atmosphere of a single moment, delicately and with style. She creates a wonderful tension between what’s happening without revealing, necessarily, what will happen next.

We’ll be out front of the shop with our annual Yard Sale. We’ve got loads of seconds, misprints, slightly-damaged goods, all on deep-deep discount.
The street is alive and fun with tons of vendors (both delicious food and lovely crafts), so come on by!

Atheist Shoes pop-up in the gallery this weekend!
From Friday to Sunday, you’ll be able to try the alleged most comfortable shoes in the world, “so comfy they’re like walking on hugs from baby kittens”. They also happen to be the most atheistic shoe in the world, what with having ICH BIN ATHEIST embossed on the soles, perfect for all your subtle-but-flirty-display-of-godlessness needs.
Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15 come visit our friends from Berlin. They’ll be set-up in the gallery showing their shoes.

We’re really excited about the upcoming show we’re working on as part of ICON 8: The Illustration Conference.
The Work + Play show will feature work from a ton of great ICON attendees.
The submissions have been blowing us away, like this adorable one “While You Sleep” by Diana Toledano.

We’re excited to announce we’re extending the run of our TAXONOMIES show through to June 22nd. It’s a great show and deserves more time up in the gallery.

Taxonomies: Creating Order Out Of Complexity: A Group Show
Opens May 22, 2014 at 6pm.Runs through June 8, 2014.

To understand our world and beyond, scientists create taxonomies of natural phenomena. They classify everything from plants, to stars, to insects. Similarly, we create classifications as a society, and as individuals, in order to wrap our heads around various unscientific phenomena. Come see the taxonomies of this talented group of artists and designers—and maybe even take one home!
